Feh, who cares anymore, all anyone wants to see is who's wearing the worst dress, or who's looking anorexic or pregnant. Bah, I say.
Bootie Call....
Now there's a movie that never won an Oscar, but in my case it refers to my further experimentations with the allegorical baby bootie booklet. Alliteration aside, here's the pics I promised yesterday.
There's no place like home:
These were fun, called Little Red Sandals, this test is the small, the sole measures around 3 1/2 inches, which would probably be the famous 0-3 months size.
Shoot the duck:
Honestly I question the practicality of these, but couldn't you DIE from the cuteness? Can't you just hear "Funkytown" or "Dancing Queen" playing in the background while all the other cool teens & tweens skate circles around you in your satin jacket and your jeans rolled up so everyone can see your long rainbow socks with the individual toes?? Yes, I was a child of the '70's, but unfortunately I never owned either a satin jacket (much to my chagrin) or knee-high rainbow socks with the individual toes....hey man, I wasn't even teen aged until the '80s...
Seriously though, a word of advice to anyone planning to make these far-out and funky skates: make the wheels first and sew them on when you're on round 2 or 3 of the boot...trust me, you will save yourself one heck of a lot of frustration.

How cute! I'll take your advice if I knit them! ;)
Welcome Furious and Knitisses!! Thanks so much for stopping by and commenting!
Seriously, Kiki, when I saw the little crocheted roller skate--I started hearing all these 70's disco songs in my head. First it was Olivia Newton-John singing "Xanadu," (unlike Rush's Xanadu which is not disco at all,) then "Boogie Wonderland." Must...go...turn on Music Choice...lol!
Love those roller skate booties. They are sooooooo cute!!!!!
Can we all remember I GOTTA BRAND NEW PAIR OF ROLLER SKATES, HE'S GOT A BRAND NEW KEY.
Both pair are adorable.
